A 17th-century coaching inn in the heart of Glastonbury, Queen of Cups is a restaurant shaped by Ayesha Kalaji’s Jordanian heritage, her love of cooking, and the extraordinary produce of the West Country.
Our food draws on Arab flavours, techniques and traditions, alongside British produce and the seasons. We work closely with local farmers and growers, allowing what they produce — and what is at its best — to shape the menu.
The food is generous, vibrant and made for sharing: familiar things approached differently, unexpected combinations that work, and plenty of flavour. Alongside it, thoughtful wines, good drinks and warm, unfussy hospitality.

Taking influence from her Jordanian roots via Wales and London and now based in Glastonbury, our Executive Chef and owner Ayesha Kalaji has a totally distinctive and exciting style of cooking, serving her own interpretation of Middle Eastern Dishes: “This is food seen through my lens. I use local produce and ingredients to create food that feels true to myself, my area and my ideas.” Diners can expect gloriously colourful and delicious dishes on seasonally changing menus.
